CSAM Attends Event of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China on Transformation and Upgrading of Agricultural Mechanization

On 30th Oct., Dr. Li Yutong, Head of the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific attended the launching event of outcomes of the transformation and upgrading of agricultural mechanization, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China in Qingdao, China. In total, six outcomes were highlighted at the launching event including whole-process mechanization model, the breeding guideline suitable for mechanization, the directory of machinery technologies and equipment for the advantaged agricultural products, case study of the service centres with whole-process machinery and integrated agricultural services, guideline for the farm transformation for mechanization application, and national S&T platform for agricultural mechanization. These outcomes are expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the development of sustainable agricultural mechanization in China and serve as a useful reference for other countries in Asia and the Pacific.
