Mr. Nicholas Rosellini, UN Resident Coordinator in China paid a visit to the new office of the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM)

On 10 May 2019, Mr. Nicholas Rosellini, UN Resident Coordinator in China paid a visit to the new office of the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM). Mr. Rosellini congratulated on the relocation of CSAM’s premises and conducted a discussion with CSAM colleagues. During the discussion, Dr. Yutong Li, Head of CSAM, made an introduction to CSAM’s mandates, its collaboration with other UN agencies as well as engagement with UN Country Team in China. Mr. Rosellini exchanged his views over the ongoing UN reform and the cooperation between UN Resident Coordinator Office and its Chinese counterparts. He also expressed willingness to continue support to CSAM’s work, particularly, in the areas of sustainable agricultural mechanization for poverty reduction, climate change initiatives as well as South-South Cooperation activities. Both sides anticipated a wider range of cooperation in agriculture sector and rural development to support the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals.
