  1. GOVERNING COUNCIL

CSAM has a Governing Council consisting of a representative designated by the Government of China (CSAM’s host country) and eight representatives from relevant line ministries nominated by other members and associate members of ESCAP elected by the Commission. The members and associate members elected by the Commission are elected for a period of three years and are eligible for re-election. The Executive Secretary of ESCAP or his/her representative also attends meetings of the Council. The current members of the Governing Council are Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Viet Nam.
