United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and CSAM
The 2030 Agenda, based on 17 goals and 169 targets, is a bold and inspirational new agenda addressing the social, economic and environmental dimensions of sustainable development, to meet our present needs without risking the wellbeing of future generations. Agricultural mechanization is a cross cutting issue particularly valuable to the attainment of the SDGs in the Asia Pacific region. The adoption of technologies that blend traditional knowledge and modern science will have a tremendous impact on the region's capacity to answer to food demand, social dynamics and environmental concerns. The Centre will serve as an important platform for policy dialogue, technological innovation, South-to-South and triangular cooperation.
