The United Nations Asian and Pacific Centre for Agricultural Engineering and Machinery (APCAEM) is launching a project to assist agro-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from its member countries to have better access to regional and world markets.
As part of the project, APCAEM will help qualified agro-SMEs in the region in their participation in the 9th International Fruit/Vegetable/Food Exposition (F/V/F), which will be held in Yantai, a beautiful coastal city of China, 23–26 September 2007. The assistance will include discounted booth and logistic support.
Since its inception in 1999, the Exposition has become a flagship project symbolizing cooperation between the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the Government of China.
The Selection Criteria, Application Form and other related materials are attached below. Qualified participants are requested to fill out the Form and submit it as soon as possible to APCAEM through the focal points in their respective countries. The principle of first come, first served will be applied.
A training course on enhancing the access of SMEs into regional and world markets will be arranged on 24 September 2007 during the Expo.
