The current Novel Coronavirus 2019 (2019-nCoV) outbreak in China has led to public health concerns and continues to evolve. There is currently a shortage of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks and goggles in most pharmacies and online stores in view of the sudden surge in demand nationwide.

Following CSAM’s urgent consultations with the ESCAP Procurement Unit in Bangkok, supplies of surgical masks and gloves were graciously donated by Dr. Nick Walters of the Mission Hospital, Bangkok, and were shipped from Thailand. The parcels have reached Beijing and delivered to CSAM office on Tuesday, 04 February 2020.

CSAM expresses its sincere gratitude to the prompt actions taken by colleagues at ESCAP Headquarters in Bangkok and for the in-kind contribution of PPE from the Mission Hospital.
